Scenteq — scenting spaces

Office

Is ambient scenting safe for offices?

Safe when it is specified for people who sit in the room all day — not for a visitor passing through.

Short answer

Yes, when the system uses IFRA-certified fragrance oils delivered as a cold-air dry vapour at low output. There is no heat, no aerosol propellant and no residue on surfaces or equipment. Safety data sheets are available for every oil we supply, and offices should dose for continuous occupancy — lower than a lobby or a retail floor.

What makes a workplace system safe

Cold-air nano-atomisation breaks the oil into a dry vapour rather than a mist. Nothing settles on desks, screens or documents, and no propellant is involved.

Every fragrance we supply is formulated to International Fragrance Association standards, with safety data sheets available on request for facilities and compliance teams.

  • IFRA-certified, alcohol-free oils with safety data sheets
  • No heat, no aerosol, no propellant
  • Dry vapour — zero residue on surfaces or IT equipment
  • Safety data sheets supplied for every fragrance

Dosing for continuous occupancy

An office is not a lobby. Staff are in the space for eight hours, so output is set well below the level used in a transient arrival area, and scheduled around core hours rather than run flat out.

Consulting staff before you install

The practical route is simple: share the fragrance shortlist and the safety data sheets, ask about known sensitivities, and agree quiet zones that stay unscented. Most objections disappear once people know the output is low and the oils are certified.

  • Circulate the shortlist and SDS before install
  • Agree unscented zones for anyone with a sensitivity
  • Review output after two weeks and adjust in the app

FAQs

Related questions

Is office scenting safe for people with asthma or allergies?
We use IFRA-certified, alcohol-free oils at low output with no aerosols or propellants. Where a staff member has a known sensitivity, we recommend agreeing unscented zones and sharing the safety data sheet for the chosen fragrance in advance.
Will scenting leave residue on IT equipment?
No. The oil is atomised into a dry vapour, so nothing settles on screens, keyboards, desks or documents.
Do we need to tell staff before installing?
It is not a legal requirement, but it is the approach we recommend. Sharing the fragrance shortlist and safety data sheets ahead of installation avoids the vast majority of objections.
