What to know before scenting an office
Offices are shared, occupied all day and full of people with different sensitivities. Restraint matters more than reach.
Reception first, floors later
Most estates start with reception and client-facing meeting space. Open-plan desks are usually left neutral, or scented at a level staff stop noticing within days.
Safety and sensitivity
Oils are IFRA-certified and diffused as a dry vapour. Safety data sheets are provided up front so facilities and H&S can review before install.
Multi-tenant buildings
Landlord common parts can be scented independently of demised space, controlled by zone and scheduled to building hours.

- Is scenting suitable for a building occupied all day?
- Yes, provided intensity is specified properly. We commission at a level that is perceptible on arrival rather than persistent at the desk, and adjust after the first weeks in use.
- What about staff with fragrance sensitivities?
- We can keep scenting to arrival and circulation areas only, run lower intensities, and provide fragrance documentation for occupier consultation.
- Can a landlord scent common parts without tenant involvement?
- In most cases yes, where the areas are landlord-controlled. We confirm the boundary at consultation stage.
- Can it be tied into building operating hours?
- Yes. Systems are scheduled to building hours and can be zoned so unoccupied floors aren't running unnecessarily.
- Do you help with odour problems rather than fragrance?
- Yes. Odour neutralisation is a distinct service and is often specified alongside — or instead of — ambient scenting.
